RENATO PENTEADO
Renato Penteado was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he began his dance training at the age of seven. In 1998, he competed in the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi, where he then was invited by Miami City Ballet Founder and former Artistic Director Edward Villella to join the Company as a member of the corps de ballet. He was promoted to Principal Dancer in 2004. He retired from Miami City Ballet in April of 2019.
Throughout his career, Mr. Penteado has danced nationally and internationally in numerous classical, Neoclassical, contemporary and modern works by world-renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Twyla Tharp, Alexei Ratmansky, Paul Taylor, Christopher Wheeldon, John Cranko, Justin Peck, Edward Villella, Liam Scarlett, Sir Frederick Ashton and many others.
Teresa Carreño in Caracas, Venezuela; and David H. Koch Theater in New York City. He has been a guest artist with the Toledo Ballet Association since 2008. Mr. Penteado’s television appearances include performing The Golden Section by Twyla Tharp and the Third Movement of Western Symphony by George Balanchine with the Miami City Ballet for the PBS Great Performances series in 2010.
In 2016, Mr. Penteado was nominated and voted the winner of Dance Magazine’s Readers Choice Awards for Best Male Performance. In addition to his professional performing career, Mr. Penteado has taught extensively as a faculty member of Summer Dance Programs throughout the United States, including at Miami City Ballet School (2004-16), Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (2017-present), Cecchetti Council of America (2017- present) and Toledo Ballet Association (2014-present).

Carly Higgins Sargent
Carly was born and raised in South Florida. She is a 15 year trained dancer from DANL Dance Center where she studied numerous styles and techniques such as Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics, Lyrical, and Contemporary. She is an experienced competitor and performer and has been seen in the ProBowl Halftime Show in Hawaii, 42nd Street for ClearChannel Miami, an Off- Broadway Show in New York, as well as the George Lopez Show. She relocated to Los Angeles for two years where she performed with Revelations Dance and Aerial Company, taught for Fusion Dance Studio as well as toured and worked with West Coast Dance Explosion as an assistant to Kim Wolfe. Carly now teaches company and recreational level jazz, contemporary, acrobatics, and tap classes at numerous studios in South Florida.

Tiffany Evariste
Tiffany has performed in Broadway shows Aladdin, Motown (OBC), Mary Poppins, Leap of Faith, Memphis.
She has alos participated in National tours like Fame, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, All Shook Up, Mary Poppins, Motown and hit TV show “Smash.”

Amy Uhl
Amy has enjoyed a career in the theatre industry for over 25 years. Recent credits: Associate Director of the 2018 National Tour of Amazing Grace; Assistant to the Directing team for the Broadway production of Amazing Grace, directed by Gabriel Barre and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli at the Nederlander Theatre in NYC. Choreographer: Hello, Dolly! starring Colleen Zenk. Chicago theatre credits include SDC Observership for the Broadway in Chicago production of Amazing Grace at the Bank of America Theatre; Director/Choreographer for Savoyaires HMS Pinafore/Pirates of Penzance. Choreographer for Street Tempo Theatre Company’s production of Little Shop of Horrors, Oh Boy!, and State Street at City Lit Theatre. She also directed and co-wrote Let’s Face the Music & Dance starring Chicago Cabaret artist, Robert Whorton. Additional credits include: Director- High Fidelity, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Violet. Choreographer- Sweet Charity, Little Shop of Horrors, Victor/Victoria, Michael John LaChiusa’s Bernarda Alba & The Wild Party, Pirates of Penzance, Romeo & Juliet and Director/Choreographer for A Christmas Carol at Columbia College Chicago.

Alston Macgill
Alston Macgill was born in Savannah, Georgia. She began her dance training at The STUDIO Savannah in 2002, continuing her training at The Rock School in Philadelphia from 2010 to 2011.
Ms. Macgill attended summer courses at the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet, in 2010 and 2011, and enrolled as a full-time student for the 2011 winter term.
In August 2015, she became an apprentice with NYCB. While still an apprentice, Ms. Macgill performed a featured role in George Balanchine’s Symphony in C during the Company’s June 2016 tour to Paris, which was broadcasted live in Europe. As an apprentice, she also performed a featured role in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® (Dolls), originated a featured role in Nicolas Blanc’s Mothership, and originated a corps de ballet role in Justin Peck’s The Most Incredible Thing. She joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in August 2016.

Maceo "Mace" Harrison is a hip-hop dancer and choreographer born in Maryland D.C. At age 7, after settling from a move to Georgia, Maceo started pursuing hip-hop dance. At age 15, he started attending hip-hop battles, performing at talent shows, and even auditioning for America’s Got Talent. At the age of 17 he joined his first dance studio, where he learned ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, and tap. Spending 4 years on a dance competition team, he won multiple scholarships and overall awards for his hip hop solos. He also made it to the third round of auditions during season 11 of, “So You Think You Can Dance”. In 2016, he received a full scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City for their hip-hop program and was featured dancing for Missy Elliot in her music video, “Snatch Your Weave”. Dancing saved Maceo’s life on numerous occasions, so he expresses his passion with his explosive tricks, musicality, and showmanship personality.

Christian Cooper
Christian "Showtyme" Cooper is a self-taught hip hop dancer from Norfolk, Virginia who has been raised
in Savannah, GA for most of his teenage years. After graduating high school and joining the Dyzerzion Dance Team at Georgia Southern University in 2011, he made the decision to turn his passion for dance into a career. In 2014, he became a performing arts major at Savannah State University, where he is currently a choreographer for the Officials Basketball Dance Team. In addition to being a choreographer, he is entering his third year as a hip hop instructor at the Salvation Army. He always seeks to ignite a love for dance in his students, regardless of age, background, or experience level. As a frequent performer in the low country, he is beginning to gain more and more recognition as one of the most exceptional hip hop dancers in the area.
Christian is an extremely passionate teacher who encourages his students to release their inhibitions and perform from the heart. Whether Christian is dancing, choreographing, or instructing, his goal is always to inspire those around him to "show up and show out."
