Company Audition
Audition for our 2021-2022 Company Team!
Please read the following information below about auditions and what it means to be involved on our team.
As a member of the team, dancers have the opportunities to participate in local competitions, out-of-town competitions/workshops,
and our annual showcase performances.
This program will establish goals for both the group and the individual to work towards throughout the year. A wonderful tool to build confidence, set goals, excel improvement, and heighten passion!

BALLET COMPANY
Saturday May 22nd Audition host: Linzy Flinn 9:00-11:00am- Ages 11+ Students will be handed a number that they will wear throughout auditions. They will be asked to demonstrate a ballet class structured audition with a short variation that will be taught day of. Pointe shoes, if you are already training en pointe Dress to Impress: Hair slicked back in low bun Leotard w/pink tights Make-up Optional Ballet Slippers & Pointe Shoes Hours and Commitment Each member would have a ballet variation solo set on them to compete at various competitions or performances. Estimated Weekly Requirements: 3 ballet classes, strength and conditioning, including pointe and periodic variation rehearsals AFTER AUDITIONS Dancers will be notified of their acceptance. Dancers will need to commit to ALL mandatory company dates including: STUDIO Ballet Summer Intensive (or approved equivalent), Rehearsals, Required classes, competitions, ect All parents must attend our Company parent meeting: Saturday JUNE 5th Where we will review all expectations and questions for the upcoming season! Contracts will be handed out and need to be signed and returned by both students and parents. Mandatory Dates: Summer Ballet Intensive - Aug 2-5 |
STUDIO COMPANY
Saturday May 15th Audition panel 12:00-1:00pm - ages 6-8 9:00-11:00am ages 9-11 2:00-4:00pm- ages 12+. Ages are based on the date of audition. Students will be handed a number that they will wear throughout auditions. They will be asked to demonstrate specific skills and will learn a combo or two that will determine their company placement. Dress to impress Hair must be slicked down and out of dancer's face in a low bun, no ponytails. Dancers can wear leotards or a sports bra with leggings. No baggy shirts or pants. Shoes: Foot paws, tap shoes, jazz shoes, heels (if applicable) Hours And Commitment 2 or 3 local competitions, 1 or 2 out of town workshops Estimated Weekly Requirements: 1 rehearsal class, 2 ballet technique classes, 1 jazz technique, 1 combo class (about 5 hrs of technique + rehearsal) ** additional classes will be required to compete at the Elite level. Specifics to be reviewed at meeting. (6+ hours of weekly technique) AFTER AUDITIONS Dancers will be notified of their acceptance. Dancers will need to commit to ALL mandatory company dates including: summer intensives, choreography weeks, rehearsals and required classes All parents must attend our Company parent meeting: Friday JUNE 4th Where we will review all expectations and questions for the upcoming season! Contracts will be handed out and need to be signed and returned by both students and parents. ADDITIONAL CASTINGS Once contracts have been signed and returned, dancers may submit additional requests like solos/duos/trios. Once requests have been approved by studio faculty, our office will set up appointments for additional choreography. Mandatory Dates:Choreography Week A - July 19-22 ( ages 9-11) GUEST Choreography Week B- July 23-30 (ages 12and up) Choreography Week C- Aug 2-6 (ages 12 and up) Summer Intensive Ages 8 and up - July 26-30 Please reach out with any questions!
